Professional Experiences
- Recognised teaching certificate from a reputable education institution from anywhere in the world, and qualified with at least a Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum three years’ classroom experience, preferably in an international school setting in Asia
- Qualified/certified to teach the position applying for
- Respectful and professional conduct and disposition
- Positive role model of the school shared vision of the kinds of people we hope to develop
- Experience in working with students’ with English as an Second/Additional Language (ESL/EAL)
- High level of IT skills and experience in integrating IT with teaching
- Classroom practices are in-line with current teaching and learning pedagogy
- Experience with using a range of purposeful assessment strategies and tools
- Experience in differentiating teaching techniques
- Experience in organising school events and extracurricular activities, and/or coaching sporting teams and/or performing arts groups
Pedagogical Profile
Pedagogical Profile
- Class teachers should ideally have experience with an inquiry theme-based curriculum such as the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP)
- Class teachers should ideally also have experience with teaching the Cambridge Primary English, Mathematics and Science curriculum frameworks or be familiar with the UK National Curriculum
- Believes that the best learning experience is collaborative, inquiry-based, constructivist in nature, and differentiated
- Able to incorporate both international, regional and local context and resources to enhance learning
- Good classroom management skills including building a conducive and adaptive learning environment
- A lifelong learner

The Grange Institution is a small community school where we expect our staff to help develop a warm and respectful learning culture within the school, where we expect all teachers’ full involvement during the typical school days as well as to support supervision duties, extracurricular activities, meetings and professional development opportunities outside of regular school hours.
