Year 1 & Year 2: How UN’s Sustainable Development Goals inspired our Garden-to-Table Project

The United Nations (UN) recognises that global understanding of development has changed over the years, and agrees that sustainable development promotes prosperity and economic opportunity, greater social well-being, and protection of the environment. It offers the best path forward for improving the lives of people everywhere.

Many of The Grange’s philosophies are inspired by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The goals are embedded into our learning frames and programmes which encourage awareness of, and, action to the challenges facing our global community now and into the future.

Through exposure to this global perspective, students are encouraged to become internationally-minded citizens, capable of making connections with prior knowledge and to become analytical, responsible problem-solving learners.
